Day 27 - Fiori Sauditi in Formato Ridotto - Saudi Flowers in Reduced Format

Oggi troppo vento (e freddo: 7°C!!) per andare a fare colazione in riva al mare: il programma cambia, si va al vivaio a prendere qualche pianta per casa (vedere Backstage sotto per i protagonisti). In esposizione al vivaio trovo le MARGHERITE DI FILARE!!! Spettacolari. Inutile portarle a casa perchè non passerebbero l'estate. Faccio una foto che diventa la foto di oggi: splendida giornata a chiusura di un bellissimo week-end.

Angolo Tecnico: ho paragonando questa foto (l'originale a piena risoluzione) con quella fatta a Filare nel 2013. Quella di oggi è stata scattata con APS-C ed elaborata applicando in Lightroom l'emulazione per film Fuji Velvia. Quella del 2013 è stata fatta con full frame (Canon 5D-III) e lavorata in Lightroom senza preset. La qualità del full-frame si apprezza in una maggiore tridimensionalità dell'immagine. L'obiettivo macro (100 f/2.8) ha anche contribuito con un'inquadratura più suggestiva. Tuttavia la qualità della piccola XT-1 con il 35mm ad f/2 mi lascia molto soddisfatto. Tecnicamente per poter scattare a f/2 in pieno sole (Saudita) e senza filtri ho dovuto utilizzare l'utilissima funzionalità 'Otturatore Elettronico' della piccola XT-1 Fuji.

Too much wind (and cold: 7°C !!) today for a breakfast on the Corniche: we change our plan and we head to the nursery to buy some plants for our home (check the Backstage below for the main characters). Outside the nursery we see the FILARE DAISIES!!! Great. No way to bring them home as they won't survive the summer. I take a picture that will be today's photo: wonderful day closing this great week-end.

Tech Corner: I have compared this photo (the original full-res) with the one taken in Filare in 2013. Today's photo was shot with an APS-C camera and processed in Lightroom applying the film emulation Fuji Velvia. The one taken in 2013 was shot with a full frame (Canon 5D-III) and processed in Lightroom with no preset. Full-frame quality translates in a nicer three-dimensional effect of the picture. The macro lens (100 f/2.8) has help giving a more suggestive framing. The quality of the little XT-1 with 35mm f/2 is anyway outstanding and leaves me totally happy. Technically to be able and shoot at f/2 under full sun (in Saudi) and no filter I used the super-useful 'Electronic Shutter' of the small XT-1 Fuji.
